Oral History and Physical Evidence

Some takeaways of this video:

1) Denisovans were bigger than we are on average, at least for every find so far (which by now includes leg bones, which are indicators of height).
2) This observation, from c. 15:13 on:

The oldest oral traditions anyone has managed to check against physical evidence are Aboriginal Australian stories about coastlines that drowned as sea levels rose. And those go back somewhere between 7,000 and 10,000 years, which is extraordinary, but it's not 45,000.

Youngest Denisovan presumably carbon dated to 43,000 BC. Which along with 37,000 BC for Campi Flegrei (during the Flood) indicates that Denisovans were pre-Flood.

The changes in the coastline took place somthing like 8000 to 5000 BC.

Now, these do not give an oral tradition of 10,000 or at least 7000 years.

2187 BC
Eber died
2166 BC
71.553 pmC, dated as 4933 BC

So, the tradition has lasted 4583 down to c. 4213 years. Since Peleg was born or since around when Eber died. And the earliest parts of it were when people were living from 339 down to 208 years. That's Peleg, born when Peleg was born, or Nahor, Abraham's grandfather, born soon after Eber died. In our days, not sure one would have been able to ground a tradition as easily as that. Orally that is.

However, the tradition about giants would also be way shorter than 45,000 years. That would have been in Noah's lifetime. Noah met Eber. Eber met Serug. Serug met Abraham. Abraham could have written things down, since a caravan of Beduins could transport writing. And by his time, other traditions had come to transmit it elsewhere. So, 120 years before the Flood to Abraham's vocation, that's 1137 years, but definitely not as many transmissions no longer recheckable as that length of time would take now.

If the oral history Australian uniformitarians have to assume for the Coastlines are longer than those I presume, there is no sense in pretending the oral transmission I presume is implausible.

I made the same point about an AI generated video which ascribed false content to a tablet, I'm making it again, but this time over good source material.
